Week 7 home learning

Hello Year 3,

It’s been a glorious week of sunshine and I hope you and your families have enjoyed spending time outside. After a hard day’s work last Sunday, my mum's garden looks nearly as tidy as our classroom! 😀

This week I have been busy researching prehistory in Britain and finding lots of exciting activities to help you learn about the Bronze Age, Stone Age and Iron Age.

In maths we are going to learn how to tell the time on an analogue clock and converting minutes and seconds. In English you are going to find out about Hogarth's plan to trap the Iron Man and learn about main and subordinate clauses. We are starting a new topic in science about light and shadow so this week you will define the important vocabulary to help you. Finally, in geography, you are going to continue to build your map reading skills, you are going to use 4-figure grid references to identify places on a map.

I know you will all keep working hard at home and keep sharing your work on the school Facebook page.

Mr Holley 😊
