Week 6 home learning
Hello, Year 3
This week we have had some glorious sunshine and I hope you have been enjoying it with your family. Over the weekend, I am going to help my mum with weeding and planting in her garden. 🌻
In maths this week, you will be learning about periods of time and how to read the time on an analogue clock. You will apply this learning to solve a puzzle to tell the time on reflected and flipped clocks. For English, you will find out what the Iron Man finds delicious and learn about verbs. Linking from previous weeks learning, you are going to write instructions for the experiment of making a rain cloud in jar. Don't forget the imperative verbs. 😊
In science you are going to find out how seeds travel in different ways and create your own map using the 8 ordinal and cardinal points of a compass. In history, you are going to become ancient Greek artists by designing your own vase and adding an image of an ancient Olympic event.
Please continue sharing your home learning on the school Facebook page, I am looking forward to seeing some of your ancient Greek vases.
Stay safe and take care.
Mr Holley 😁
