Week 5 home learning

Hello Reception,

Hope you are all well and had lots of fun doing your activities last week. Did you do anything exciting to celebrate 75 years for VE Day? I enjoyed a small tea party with my family at home and especially enjoyed eating cake!

I have been on some lovely walks and seen lots of baby animals – especially ducklings and little rabbits around my area.  I have also fed monkey nuts to the squirrels in our local park. They were really funny because when I threw the nuts, the squirrels leapt up into the air to try and get them. They really enjoyed eating them though!

This week we have lots of exciting learning inspired by the story ‘Elmer the Elephant’. I think you will love making your own elephants and making Elmer biscuits. I have made some hunts for you too. One is a double number addition hunt and the other one is a phoneme hunt. Hope you have lots of fun doing them!

I would love to see some pictures of your learning, so ask your grown up if they can put some on our Facebook page – this always makes me smile!

Take care Reception and stay safe.

Big smiles from Miss Sinclair
