Week 4 home learning

Dear Year 4,

The first thing I have to say is how exciting it has been seeing all the home learning that has been going on. I’ve seen quite a few eggsperiments! Have you had a crack at it? (I promise that’s the last egg pun… for now ;) )

If you have something from your home learning you’d like to share, I’d love to see it. You can share it on school’s Facebook page. Ask an adult to help you.

Last week, it was a bank holiday on Friday for VE Day. It was commemorating 75 years since the end of World War II in Europe. When I was in school on Thursday, I helped the children create some VE Day bunting, which was on the school gates. You might have seen it. Did you do anything to mark the occasion? Maybe a garden picnic at home or made some bunting?

At home this week, I have been enjoying listening to the actual Harry Potter himself read the first chapter of Harry Potter! Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the films, has recorded the first chapter: https://www.wizardingworld.com/chapters/reading-the-boy-who-lived

I always enjoy being read to, even if I’ve read this story many, many times as you know! I’m going to be keeping an eye on this because each chapter is going to be read by someone significant from the Wizarding World! How exciting!

I hope you find something interesting in the home learning this week. Don’t forget to share your learning!

Keep up the hard work and stay safe,

Mrs Bevis
