Week 4 home learning
Hello, Year 3
I hope you have all enjoyed the glorious weather this weekend. Friday was a very important day with the 75th anniversary of VE day. It was brilliant to see all the different ways that people remembered and celebrated what others did for us all. My street had organised a socially distanced street party and I enjoyed a cup of tea and a cake with my neighbours. 🍰 Did you decorate your house with buntings, pictures or eat cake?
I was thrilled to see so many of you sharing your home learning on the school's Facebook page. I can see many of you enjoyed creating the rain cloud in a glass and watched how it rained. I tried it myself at home.
This week in science you are going to find out how plants make their own food, compare the ancient Olympics to the modern Olympics and learn about the 8 compass directions in geography. In English, you can explore the meaning of words in the Iron Man and a crazy robot will help you learn about conjunctions. You are going to calculate using column addition with carrying and try another number puzzle - this one is really tricky and will get your brains working! 😁
On the menu this week is blue cheese gnocchi with spinach and meatballs. I am going to enjoy cooking and definitely eating this!
Keep smiling and stay safe!
