Week 4 home learning

Dear Year 1,

I hope you have all had another good week, especially with the weather being nice again!

I have been busy doing jobs around my house and plan on sorting my garden out this weekend. I will be celebrating my birthday on Monday 11th and know lots of you also have birthdays around this time – therefore I hope you have been celebrating well (with cake!!) and had a lovely day.

It was VE day on Friday, commemorating 75 years since the end of World War II in Europe. Did you do anything nice to mark the occasion? I know lots of people had socially distanced street parties full of bunting, picnics and cake in their front gardens! I had some lovely homemade chocolate brownie from one of my neighbours, so I think brownies will be my next bake!

I hope you enjoy your home learning again this week, please share some of your learning with us on the Facebook page! In science this week we are starting to learn about plants, which I know some of you have worked really hard on your plant project so use this knowledge to help you.

Keep staying safe and working hard,

Miss Williams
