Week 3 home learning

Dear Year 2,

I hope you have all had a good week despite the miserable weather.  Let’s hope the sunshine returns this week!

I’m sure that you’re all working really hard on your home learning.  Did you manage to visit https://www.thenational.academy/ ?  It has some really good lessons to help you with your English and maths learning.   Have a look again this week as they have new lessons every day.

This week you have 3 pieces of English, which includes the beginning of the story of Peter Rabbit and 3 pieces of Maths all to do with our learning about shape.  You will need to use your reading skills to help you with your science and your map skills to help you with your geography.

Did you know that it is VE day on Friday which celebrates 75 years since the end of World War II?  Where I live, we are going to have a ‘Stay at home street party’ in our front gardens.  We’re going to decorate the front of our houses, have a family picnic and wear red, white and blue.  How are you going to celebrate this special anniversary?

Enjoy working on your learning packs this week.

Take care and stay safe.

Mrs Smith
