Week 11 home learning

Hello Year 2,

I hope that you and your families are all keeping well.

How did you get on with your poems last week?  I’d love to read some of them if your parents or carers are able to put them on Facebook.

For your English learning this week, you are going to be reading a text about honeybees and labelling the parts of the bee’s body. There is also a past tense game for you to play with someone in your family.

In maths you are going to be solving lots of problems, using your addition and subtraction skills, and there is a domino investigation for you to do too.

The habitat that you are learning about this week is the Ocean.  I would like you to draw an ocean habitat scene and then write about one of the plants and animals that you have drawn.

In art, you are going to find out about the life of Georges Seurat and for RE, you are going to compare the Bible and the Torah and have a go at making a Torah scroll.

I hope you all have a good week and you enjoy this week’s home learning.

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Smith
