Week 10 home learning

Hi Year 2,

I hope that you’ve all had a good week, despite the rainy weather.  As well as being in school this week, I enjoyed a walk along the canal, where I saw a mother and father swan and 6 little, fluffy cygnets.

For your English learning this week, you are going to be reading some poems about living things and you’re going to have a go at writing your own rhyming poem.

In maths you are going to be using lots of vocabulary to describe movements and turns.  There is also a map of Mr. McGregor’s garden for you to find your way around.

The habitat that you are learning about this week is the Arctic.  Use the website links to help you find out about the plants and animals that live in the Arctic.  You are then going to apply your reading skills when learning about polar bears.

Instead of history and geography learning this week, you have some art and religious education.  Georges Seurat is our class artist and you’re going to be looking at some of his work and for your RE you will be learning about a story from the Bible.

I hope you all have a good week.

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Smith
