About Riverside Academy
‘learning together, achieving excellence'
excellence, friendship, resilience
At Riverside Academy, we are passionate about ensuring all children are given exceptional learning opportunities that enable them to reach high standards across all areas of the curriculum. Our values of excellence, friendship and resilience are based on the simple belief that learning must be exciting, challenging and memorable.
Our culture is based on developing a love of learning so that all children develop the skills and knowledge needed for them to be articulate, successful and resilient learners, who have high aspirations and are prepared for the challenges and responsibilities ahead of them.
We aim for excellence in everything; learning, behaviour, attitudes and commitment whilst ensuring children are motivated by their learning opportunities. Our vibrant and welcoming learning environment, provides the children with an inspiring and welcoming space where they have the freedom and support to develop mentally and physically.
Our small, friendly school provides a nurturing environment where all children and adults are respected, and valued. Because all children learn at different rates and in different ways, we support each individual accordingly with challenging teaching and learning provision. Children are encouraged to share and utilise their ideas and opinions both in the classroom and within the wider school context. Through teaching children the learning dispositions needed to be successful, we aim to develop a learning community where children are keen to take responsibility for their own learning and progress.
We strongly believe in working in collaboration with all members of our local community and value the partnership we have with parents and carers. We recognise that parents and carers play a fundamental part in supporting their child’s achievement and encourage parents to be involved in school life.
If you would like to come and see what opportunities we can provide for your child, please contact the school office in order to arrange a visit.
