Year Five's Class Assembly

Year five have had fabulous success in their unforgettable poetry and art assembly.

Recently Year five have had fabulous success in their unforgettable poetry and art assembly. Pupils wrote fine quality scripts, meaning that their parents just had to come to witness their brilliance. Showing the parents their literacy work after the assembly, the children had the opportunity be congratulated, whilst the parents had a cup of tea and a biscuit.

The assembly was about the students’ art, inspired by John Constable, and outstanding poems, inspired by Valerie Bloom. So the other classes can admire the art, Mrs Purdy put them up on the display, outside the Year 5 classroom. All of the pupils evaluated their work and three evaluations went on the art display and were read in the assembly. Despite the pupils’ professionalism, the assembly was only practiced twice, meaning that the children had to work hard to master their performance.
