Riverside Flashmob in Rugby Town Centre!

Pupils from Riverside Academy took part in a spectacular 'Grow, Groove, Give' event in the town centre this morning.Together with student's from Hayley's Impact Dance and pupils from two other schools, our Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils grew, grooved and gave!

Pupils from Year 4 and our garden club have been working hard for weeks now to grow plants and to rehearse for the impressive event that took place this morning in the town centre.  Rugby Borough Council’s Parks and Grounds, Arts Development, and Art Gallery and Museum departments comissioned David McKenna, from Beingfrank Physical Theatre , to work with pupils from Riverside Academy, Brownsover School and Knightlow Primary School to oversee an arts project as part of Rugby in Bloom 2013.  Pupils from all three schools were involved in poetry and dance workshops to help to create the 'Grow, Groove, Give' chant and accompanying dance routine, performed by Andy, Adrian, Beth, AJ and students from Hayley's Impact Dance School.
