Remote learning

We have launched our new ‘Home Learning’ Class Pages through a programme called ClassDojo.

ClassDojo is a school communication and home learning platform that teachers, students, and families can use to share what’s being learned in the school and home through photos, videos, and messages. Class Dojo can be accessed via the internet https://home.classdojo.com/#/signup or by downloading the ClassDojo app https://www.classdojo.com/download/

Initially, these class pages will be used for sharing class information, for setting homework, spellings and other learning activities and as a way of virtually communicating between teachers and children.

In the event of individual, groups of children self-isolating, or in the event of a local lockdown, ClassDojo pages alongside TEAMS calls will be used to facilitate daily home learning.

Class story:

This will be used by the Class Teacher to post announcements and reminders for the class in the form of a recorded video or written message in a similar way to a private class Facebook Page. In the event of children having to self isolate from school, Teachers will post a daily message on their Class Story outlining assignments and activities to be completed that day.

Portfolio:

Teachers will upload assignments to this section of the page and respond to work submitted by children. Children can complete assigned activities on their Portfolio, uploading photographs, text, drawings and videos to demonstrate understanding.

Remote learning during school closure:

Since the announcement of school closure, we committed to providing high-quality and challenging learning opportunities that are in line with our school curriculum intent and long term Year group plans.
